Reported by EAB, 2,000 college and university faculty were surveyed on the biggest issues they’re facing at their own institution. These rank, in order, insufficient funding, maintaining or increasing academic standards, decreased enrollment, student retention, staffing, completion, and graduates not being ready for employment.
The takeaway? With tuition at all-time highs, and with proposed federal education spending cuts, faculty anxiety around funding is warranted. So how can we make smart program, scheduling, and enrollment decisions that help us make the most from every dollar we do have?
