Career Services’ Coronovirus Challenge

What a challenge our new graduates and career services departments have in the time of coronavirus.

Reported by Education Dive, our career services departments are trying to help our new graduates land a new job during all-time high unemployment rates.

But a lot of departments are getting creative. First accepting that this is a terribly hard job market, they are playing the role of counselor even more than career coach. Setting up virtual career fairs. Finding new internship pathways. Recommending grad school for certain students.

The takeaway? This is an incredibly rough time for our new graduates. So let’s make sure they know your Career Services team and resources are there. To play coach. And to play counselor.

May you continue to fight the good enrollment growth fight at your institution today, and we’ll see you again tomorrow.
