California State University announces online-only for fall

Some institutions are already starting to call online-only for fall, too.

Reported by Education Dive, California State University, the largest public system in the U.S., has announced the decision to their nearly 500,000 students that most of their classes would be virtual this fall.

The takeaway? Will Cal State’s lead make it easier for other institutions to follow suit? Or are they only able to make this call so early because of their existing online infrastructure and heavy commuter student population?

May you continue to fight the good enrollment growth fight at your institution today, and we’ll see you again tomorrow.
