Will your social media profile keep you from getting into college?
Reported by Inside Higher Ed, 36% of admissions officers are checking applicant students’ social media profiles. Of those doing so, 38% percent claimed it had a positive impact on the enrollment decision, while 32% claimed it had a negative impact.
The takeaway? Should social media as an enrollment decision input be off limits? And if not, what are we looking for? Communication skills? Inappropriate language? Inappropriate judgment?
