Will Google search changes increase community college enrollment?

How will changes to Google’s college search features impact community college enrollment?

Reported by Education Dive, while Google’s “college search” features have historically only included 4-year colleges, community colleges will now be included in these search rankings.

As these typically low-priced options are added to rankable college search listings, will this small database change vastly help propel the economic argument of community college to the top of prospective students’ consideration set?

The takeaway? With bootcamp and certificate programs growing in awareness, and now community colleges perhaps getting an extra search engine boost, how do we help tell our own institution’s value story in a compelling way in an ever-crowding marketplace?

May you continue to fight the good enrollment growth fight at your institution today, and we’ll see you again tomorrow.
