Will employers solve the skills vs. degrees debate?
Reported by Inside Higher Ed, more and more large companies like Apple and Google are starting to post job descriptions for technical positions where they do not require a college degree. But the vast majority? They still do.
The takeaway? Until employers decide to forgo the degree requirement more broadly, the real conversation is about adding skills to our degree programs to provide our graduates with the mix of technical and soft skills required to be successful from day one on the job.
