Wichita State University Paying Students to Move to Kansas for Free Education and Guaranteed Job Placement

Wichita State University Tech, Kansas’ largest technical college, is partnering with the state to attract potential aviation workers with free relocation, free education, housing stipends, and guaranteed job placement.

Reported by Education Dive, The Wichita Promise Move initiative is in the process of relocating 50 enrollees, 75% of whom come from outside Kansas, to receive paid schooling and a guaranteed job upon completion. The goal is to creatively meet the skills gap and hiring needs for their respective communities and employers.

The takeaway? How can we better partner with not only local employers, but our state governments to find win-win educational and employment talent and pipeline solutions?
