Reported by The Brookings Institution, many institutions often try and spin up new degree programs to try and leverage growing trends. But is the upcoming artificial intelligence revolution an even bigger opportunity?

Today, the San Francisco Bay area looks to be the leading geographic opportunity for both AI companies and workers, with 13 other metro areas closely following in this “early adopter” race. But what are the opportunities for becoming one of these metro areas, from federal grant money to mass commercial development?

The takeaway? How will these industries grow without a massive influx of new AI-skilled grads? And how can we work with our local government and business leaders to develop AI innovation hubs in our cities, and insert our institutions as critical partners in this growth?
