Media Trend #7: Optimizations in education marketing

While most in the education industry are feeling the pressure of a shrinking student pool and increased acquisition cost, some believe this is the best time to launch their new education portal offering.  Here are some trends that we have seen:

  • Connect the education seeker to quality, in-depth content found nowhere else on a broad array of online education options.   Give the education seeker the ability to conduct their own side-by-side comparison and advanced queries of each school’s content.
  • Offer a unique and content rich solution for business and organizations to customize their own continuing learning solution strategies for their employees – feature educational institutions that offer relevant classes and degrees best suited to objectives of the employer and the ongoing learning needs of their employee base.
  • Think quality over quantity.  Provide access to curriculum test drives and prerequisite online courses that can be purchased on demand and at reduced rates.   This strategy reduces the overall cost of earning their degree and “warms” them to persisting in their ongoing degree acquisition.
