What does student-parent financial aid need to look like?

Reported by Education Dive, a new study from the Urban Institute shows that only 13.2 of families are receiving federal childcare assistance due to education compared to 78% who receive it because they’re working.

The takeaway? Given higher ed’s focus on the adult learner, do we need to create our own childcare services or subsidies, or work with our state and federal governmental officials to change policy and make sure that a full-time student status meets the work requirement for aid? Perhaps both?
