Preparing for a post-vaccination fall on our college campuses

What will a post-vaccination fall look like on our college campuses?

Reported by Inside Higher Ed, the University of Wisconsin System is planning to hold 75% of their classes on-campus in person this fall, down only slightly from the 80% that were held in-person pre-pandemic.

Is that too optimistic of a game plan?

The takeaway? While mass vaccination is providing massive hope as a game changer, with new COVID variants that we’re still learning about, we once again in higher ed may find ourselves in a similar “let’s see what happens” scenario while we move forward with reasonable planning. Fortunately, we’ve had a year of experience moving more nimbly and rapidly than higher ed is used to. So let’s keep it up.

May you continue to fight the good enrollment growth fight at your institution today, and we’ll see you again tomorrow.
