New Report Suggests Less Barriers to Entry into College Than Many Think

NACAC’s annual “State of College Admissions” report helps dispel the myth that college is inaccessible.

Reported by Inside Higher Ed, the average 4-year college admits nearly 2/3 of their freshman applicants. This figure doesn’t even include community colleges, which are open admit.

The takeaway? College is by no means “easy”, but is more attainable than the general public may be currently led to believe. So how do we collectively make sure the world knows that degree completion at our institutions is indeed possible with our support?
