If we thought the current demographic trends were tough for higher ed…

Reported by The Brookings Institution, from July 2020 to 2021, the U.S. population grew at an unprecedented 0.12%, the lowest known growth rate since these statistics started being collected in 1900. This number of course includes not only lower birth rates, and decreased immigration, but the tragic death rates from the pandemic as well.

The takeaway? 8% automatic enrollment growth increases based on demography alone are over, and have been for some time in most states. Growth is a completely different game now, and requires completely different strategies. Are you ready?
