Reported by Education Dive, colleges and universities sunset 651 foreign language programs between 2013 and 2016.

Perhaps under the incorrect assumption that the international business world is universally learning English, we also underestimate the massive power that the command of other languages affords us from a job marketability standpoint in an increasingly global economy.

The takeaway? How can our institutions better promote and encourage the study of foreign languages for our students entering this hyper-globalized economy?
