Free Tuition Next Year, If You Need It

If you stay enrolled this year, we’ll make your make-up term free, if you need it.

Reported by Education Dive, some institutions, such as Pacific Lutheran University and St. Norbert College, are choosing to offer an extra term or year after the student’s expected graduation date for free if they stay enrolled this year.

The hope is that this financial offer incentivizes their enrolled students to stay enrolled while providing some additional mental flexibility during an incredibly stressful time.

The takeaway? This incentive serves to de-risk students during an incredibly anxious year. They can lighten their load if they need it, without worrying about having to pay for it on the back end. And it’s also a financial promise the institution is unlikely to have to pay out for most of their students. A kind gesture. But potentially a really financially safe one as well.

May you continue to fight the good enrollment growth fight at your institution today, and we’ll see you again tomorrow.
