The Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) is holding its 2014 Annual Conference this week, and we are thrilled to be part of the line-up! The event is focused on ways to create, manage and grow continuing education programs.
We have been invited to present the session “The Five Things You Should Know About Competency-Based Education” on Monday, October 27th at 1:30pm. Leading this insightful discussion is Steve Pappageorge, our Chief Product Officer, and Kari Kovar, our VP of Strategic Partnerships.
Competency-based education (CBE) continues to make headlines. Some schools are already jumping into CBE full steam ahead, while others prefer to test the waters and slowly transition one or more programs. Regardless of a school’s approach, session attendees will gain insight into five must-know things when it comes to CBE, including learning models, integration strategies, instructional design, course creation, and student support.
Steve and Kari will be talking with continuing education professionals about CBE and its ability to make education more affordable, efficient and effective. Attendees will see the potential of CBE as an educational model that helps engage and retain students, while optimizing the cost of graduation.
The ACHE event starts today in Las Vegas and lasts through October 29th. We hope to see you there!
