Do your development team demographics match your future donors?

With only 11% of front-line fund raisers being persons of colors, according to the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and with 20% of senior fund-raisers planning to retire in the next four years, many alumni offices believe that a growing number of non-white male philanthropists will want to see diversity in the campuses they gift to.
The takeaway? How do we make sure we’re hiring in our development offices for the future – a development team that more closely represents the world we’re living in, and the donors we’re looking to build relationships with?
