How CUNY Increased Diversity in their Graduate Programs

How can we increase under-represented demographics in our graduate programs?

Reported by The Chronicle of Higher Education, while non-white students are currently underrepresented in graduate school, receiving only 15% of doctorates while making up 30% of the population, City University of New York has created a Pipeline Fellows Program largely designed to better educate their undergraduate students about their opportunities post-graduation, including matching undergrads with a graduate fellow.

The takeaway? How do we make sure we’re educating our undergraduates about their potential paths after graduation, including graduate school?
