College affordability conversation this election season

While 2/3 of Americans support tuition-free public college, what might the college affordability conversation look like this election season?

Reported by Education Dive, while a full 83% of Democrats favor free college,  the presumptive democratic nominee Joe Biden, has proposed only making up to two years of community college free.

The takeaway? During the democratic primaries, we were talking about much more aggressive free college plan possibilities on the horizon. Will Biden lean back this way in the coming months, or is moving in moderation the most progressive option higher ed should be prepared for?
