Boston College embraces Learning Experience Design (LXD)

Boston College is embracing Learning Experience Design (LXD).

Reported by EdSurge, Boston College’s Carroll School of Management takes a different approach when determining course modality. They avoid the binary choice of online vs. on-ground. Instead, their faculty are working to build flexible, accessible and customizable hybrid courses for digital natives. This means animated videos, synchronous video conferencing, online discussion boards – whatever makes sense for the specific learning objective in that part of the course.

The takeaway? How do we do a better job utilizing all of the learning management tools at our disposal, without reinventing the wheel, to make our courses as engaging as possible? Is a Learning Experience Design approach the solution at your institution?

May you continue to fight the good enrollment growth fight at your institution today, and we’ll see you again tomorrow.
