Reported by Inside Higher Ed, the institutions who were the most ready for an immediate transition to online learning were the institutions who had already experienced significant disruption in the past, often midwestern schools due to weather events. But many of the rest of us found ourselves ill prepared.
The takeaway? Are we ready now for the next learning displacement no matter the cause? And in our course planning, should we incorporate remote learning contingencies as part of our standard course design process to make sure we are?
