Advertising and Media Veteran Pete Thornfield Helps Helix Clients Embrace Game Changing Brand Direct Approaches

Pete.ThornfieldWe’re continuing to roll out the red carpet as we welcome our new Vice President of Marketing Services, Pete Thornfield, who joins us from Academic Partnerships.

Pete is well versed in CRM, search, social, digital, field and traditional marketing. His brand management, advertising and media experience spans both higher education and nationally recognized consumer products. He’s an expert when it comes to maximizing budgets to get some pretty impressive results using data analysis as the backbone.

While at Academic Partnerships, Pete helped large state and other non-profit institutions get recognized. He led the implementation of Strategic Planning & Annual Operating Planning systems, resulting in more effective marketing and increased campaigns capacity.

Previously, Pete managed a $3.1 billion portfolio for Frito Lay, where among his many notable accomplishments, he doubled the size of the SunChips business, developed and implemented a marketing plan for Rold Gold that made it the top selling pretzel in the U.S., and launched the Munchies snack mix brand. His work has also helped Clorox, Taco Bell and Coors make their mark.

John brings extensive experience in technology and service leadership to his role as Chief Operating Officer at Helix Education. John has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and French from Niagara University, as well as technical training from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
