80% of Online Students Use Mobile Devices to Complete Their Online Education

80% of online students said they complete some, if not all, of their course work using a mobile device.

Reported by Inside Higher Ed, this data point from a recent Aslanian Market Research survey may be a wake-up call for institutions who don’t have a mobile-first design purview.

Is our LMS mobile-friendly? Are our assignments mobile-friendly? Are we designing our courses with the technology experience of our students in mind?

The takeaway? Many of our institutions think mobile-first when it comes to website design. But we need to start thinking mobile-first when it comes to LMS and curriculum design as well.

May you continue to fight the good enrollment growth fight at your institution today, and we’ll see you again tomorrow.
